Trade Show Coordinator

Hours: Mon – Fri, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm 

However, must be open to occasional work after hours/at home, expect to be flexible with some weekends when needed.

Skills: Working with high-level executives and international contacts, booking event booths for trade shows, tech-savvy

MUSTS: We’re looking for a professional candidate that is very personable and can talk with anyone.  You will be dealing with different levels of customers and coworkers throughout the world.   
Must be very organized, can multi-task.
Be tech-savvy, working with computers daily
Grow down the line into marketing roles

Position details:

Assist the  Team – VP of  Marketing, Director of Events, Director of Artist Relations & Influences.

Trade Show Sales and Marketing Manager 20/30

Job Description
1)       Developing and achieving Sales & Marketing objectives and goals to support the black business expo organizational vision.
2)       Managing and directing Sales team while leading the development of the vision and strategy for our Sales Department.
3)       Managing and directing all trade show efforts for participation in the black business  expo
4)       Employee development and performance management skills.
5)       Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
6)       Ensuring targeted service and performance standards are achieved or exceeded.
7)       Executing tactical plans and initiatives that exceed customer expectations via phone, email and web— resulting in increased customer satisfaction in sales area.
8)       Executing and training practices, best sales and coaching practices.
9)       Establishing and managing communication channels within and among departments—being the liaison to provide customer feedback to the Senior Management Team.
Job Requirements.      Education/Training:   Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field.
2.      Experience/Skills:  A minimum of 5 years in a sales management role, preferably in the manufacturing sector, 10+ years’ experience in direct or outside sales, exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Trade Show Commission Sales Executives 20/30

JOB DESCRIPTION

​ Founded in 1982 Black Business Expo produces some of the largest specialized conferences and trade shows in the North Carolina, giving exhibitors the opportunity to introduce their brand and solutions to professionals across the country. We are currently looking for a Trade Show Sales Manager to sell sponsorships and vendor booth space for our conferences. This position is based in our Durham NC, however candidates residing outside of the city of Durham area will have the option to telecommute.

Black Business Expo conferences have become premiere events that brings together leading corporations, companies and technology vendors, experts and professional from across the country and around the world. Exhibitors and attendees collaborate and explore cutting-edge strategies and technologies that drive success. 

The ideal candidate for this role will have exceptional ability at building rapport and generating sales revenue by selling exhibitor booth space and event sponsorships. In addition, this candidate must be able to work in a time sensitive environment and adapt to the changing needs of our clients.

·         Regularly conduct a high volume of outbound sales calls
·         Schedule meetings with current and potential clients to determine sales and marketing objectives, budget, and timing
·         Cultivate and close sales of exhibitor booth space and event sponsorships
·         Routinely follow up with clients to gauge level of satisfaction and evaluate future opportunities
·         Present ideas and information clearly in a professional business environment
·         Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
·         Work productively in a deadline-driven environment

Job Requirements·         Minimum of 3 years sales experience
·         Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
·         Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
·         Ability to travel out-of-state a minimum of 5 times per year for 3-5 consecutive days at a time

Desired Requirements:
·         Trade show sales experience
·         Proficiency in Salesforce
·         Sharp time management skills, with strong organization and prioritization abilities
·         A high level of initiative and attention to detail
·         A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to continually improve performance
·         Excellent business writing skills
·         Work at home

We are looking for a talented Social media manager to administer our social media accounts. You will be responsible for creating original text and photo/video content, managing posts and responding to followers. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. As a Social media manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively.
